Meet Your Mayor
Message from Mayor John Williams
On behalf of City Council, we extend greetings and we thank you for visiting the City of Quinte West website.
City Council has completed a number of priority projects, including the continued revitalization of the downtown cores of Trenton and Frankford, making it more attractive for our citizens and visitors. The YMCA of the City of Quinte West continues to see tremendous success with over 5,500 memberships to date.
Our City, situated on the shores of the beautiful Bay of Quinte, offers an excellent lifestyle and business amenities that make it a great place to live and operate a business. Quinte West offers a unique mix of rural and urban communities and is truly a "Natural Attraction". To enhance this we will be working towards the redevelopment of our waterfront. This development will generate significant economic spin offs for the community, turning the City's waterfront into the recreational and cultural hub of the City. The plan proposes a 380 slip marina with a 6,400 sq ft marina building with all the amenities. Other highlights included in the plans are a network of lighted waterfront trails throughout Bayshore Park and an outdoor winter skating oval to name a few.
Economic development is a priority in Quinte West. Our City offers a strong and diverse economic base with excellent development opportunities. We work closely with our partners, the Quinte Area Economic Development Commission, to attract business and industry to our community. We encourage you to contact us, and we would be pleased to assist your company in exploring available opportunities and sites in our area.
We invite you to explore our website and the various links, and we hope you will visit the City of Quinte West.
