ORGANICS PILOT PROJECT ANNOUNCED
The City of Quinte West and City of Belleville in a combined Press Release issued today announced a joint Pilot Project for curbside collection and recycling of organic waste that will be composted instead of going to landfill.
Due to the overwhelming success of the project, it has been
extended until the end of June 2012.

TEMPORARY RELOCATION OF
FRANKFORD MUNICIPAL OFFICE AND
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF LIBRARY
Please be advised that the Frankford Municipal Office will close on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. and will
re-open on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at the temporary location of 14A North Wellington Street, Frankford.
The Frankford Library will close on Friday, March 23, 2012 and will be closed for a duration of 8 to 10 months.
During this time renovations and upgrades will be done to the existing Frankford Municipal Office and Library.

City of Quinte West Class Environmental Assessment
Trenton Wastewater Treatment Plant (Sewage Treatment Plant)
The City of Quinte West (the City) is initiating a planning process to expand the City's sewage treatment capacity. The City has identified that the Trenton WWTP is nearing its rated capacity for wastewater flows and treatment, and measures must be taken to ensure adequate capacity exists for future demands and growth in the community. The project is being carried out with the requirements for a Schedule C project under the Terms of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process, which is approved under the Environmental Assessment Act.
