The City of Quinte West offers numerous health care facilities, ranging from fully-accredited hospital care to a medical centre, specialized health care services, social services, and long-term care  facilities.

Hospital

Trenton Memorial Hospital is one of four fully-accredited hospitals that form the Quinte Health Care (QHC). The other three hospitals within the QHC are: Belleville General, North Hastings, and Prince Edward County Memorial.

QHC Trenton Memorial Hospital provides primary and some secondary care to patients. It houses 33 beds and a range of clinical and diagnostic services, including:

  • Cardiology
  • Diabetes Education
  • Emergency Services (24 hours a day, every day)
  • Laboratory
  • Medical Service
  • Nursing Home Ready Unit
  • Nutrition Counselling
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Pharmacy
  • Psychiatry/Mental Health Crisis Clinic
  • Radiology
  • Surgical Service

Medical Centre

Quinte West Medical Centre and the Brighton Quinte West Family Health Team

The Quinte West Medical Centre (QWMC) was developed to meet the primary health care needs of the community now and into the future. The physicians at the QWMC are affiliated with a Family Health Team.

When you enroll as a patient with a Family Health Team, you are taking a step to ensure that you always have ready access to health care from a family doctor and a team of health care providers.

The Centre is conveniently located behind QHC Trenton Memorial Hospital occupying 4,500 square feet on the lower level of the Trenton Memorial Lodge. The QWMC is currently looking for and recruiting additional family doctors.
