Health
& Safety Program
The Corporation of the City of Quinte West is committed to protecting its employees from work-related injury and illness and will take every reasonable precaution to fulfil this commitment.
A strategic approach to loss prevention has been incorporated into the City’s operations that includes documentation, implementation, administration, evaluation and revision.
“Safe workplaces result in better health and quality of life for our employees”.
We believe that a vast majority of injuries are both “Predictable and Preventable”, they are not just accidents. By generating a sound approach to the development and sustainability of a healthy workplace, transformation of thinking and behaviour at all levels will be required. This can only be achieved through the support of senior management with commitment to reinforce and allow changes necessary for improvement. We have that commitment.
We believe that regardless of the type of job or service being performed, the health and safety of the employee must always be the primary consideration.
We continually strive towards our goal of “0” accidents with the support and commitment from all our employees. Together we make the City of Quinte West a safe place and enjoyable to work.
