ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

As graduates, professionals and young families look for a balanced lifestyle, they are selecting the Quinte Area for its idyllic setting. Quinte West boasts a dynamic, dedicated, well-educated and often bilingual workforce which hasn't escaped the notice of businesses considering a Quinte West site.
Quinte West has a close proximity to the US transportation corridors and a mid-point position between Canada's two largest commercial markets. Business interests have escalated because of these conducive aspects, and the community has responded by developing and refining business suppport services and government partnerships. Growth and development of new and existing businesses is the thrust of our mandate.
The City provides detailed economic development information and direct support through its Corporate and Economic Development Services Department. The City also partners with a number of agencies and commissions (listed below) who are involved in local economic development activities as well.
