CITY COUNCIL
The City of Quinte West provides a full array of services to the public. There are 6 line departments offering municipal services including fire, planning, public works, recreational programs, and general finance and administrative support.
The City of Quinte West is governed by a Mayor, elected at large, and a 12 member Council with representatives from each of the four City Wards.
City Council conducts its business using the Standing Committee System, with the assistance of 7 permanent committees, 5 of which have public non-elected members. The Corporate & Financial Services and Personnel Committees contain only elected council members. These Committees offer policy and operational recommendations to Council on an ongoing basis.
