ONLINE AUCTION

Sale of Surplus Goods by Online Auction
As goods are declared surplus to the needs of the City of Quinte West, depending on the nature of the item, it may be posted for sale utilizing the public on line auction known as “Government Surplus Online Auction”. This is a cooperative initiative for responsible disposal of surplus public sector goods. The site is user friendly and once you have created your account on line, you will have access to not only surplus items offered by the City of Quinte West but to the surplus items offered by other public sector agencies.

In general, items are described and accompanied by a photograph (where available). Items are sold “AS IS WHERE IS” meaning it is the bidder’s sole responsibility to satisfy themselves as to the condition and specifications of the goods being offered for sale before placing a bid. Please note that by placing a bid, you are making a contract between you and the seller. Once you place a bid, you may not retract it. It is illegal to win an auction and not purchase the item.
Although the website is hosted by The District School Board of Niagara, items for sale by the City of Quinte West remain in the City throughout the bidding period and will be available for inspection for the duration of that period.
