Introduction & Welcome:

With the distinct honour of being selected the first Detachment Commander for the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, I will take pride in the men and women of this detachment and join in their ongoing dedication to provide a professional and respectful service to this community.  I look forward to forming a strong relationship with all who live, work, learn and play in the Quinte Area.  

I was born and raised in Port Hope, and am married with one son.  I am a proud father and enjoy being a new grandfather.

I began my policing career in Port Hope in 1977, and served there until 1993, when I was appointed the Chief of Police for the Town of Carleton Place, becoming the youngest Chief of Police in the Province at that time.

In 1999, I was appointed as Chief of Police for the Town of Perth and held the position for both towns for a period of three years.  

I became a member of the Ontario Provincial Police in 2003 at the rank of Inspector.

I look forward to becoming a member of this community and am committed to creating a service that the community will be proud to call its own.
